What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a site stores on your device, or similar storage such as localStorage. They can remember a choice, keep a page working, or — if you agree — help us see which essays are finished.

Types we use

Essential cookies (and localStorage) remember your cookie choice and keep the contact form from losing state during a single visit. Analytics cookies load only after you press Accept on the banner. Rejecting optional cookies does not block courses, the journal, or the contact form.

Cookie table

Name Purpose Duration Provider
layerflowcore_cookie_consent Stores Accept or Reject for optional analytics 12 months (localStorage) Layer Flowcore
lfc_form_draft Optional in-memory aid while a form is open; not used for advertising Session Layer Flowcore
_lfc_page Counts page views if analytics are accepted 6 months Layer Flowcore (first party)
fonts.gstatic.com / Google Fonts Delivers typefaces; may set cookies according to Google’s policies Varies Google

How to manage or disable cookies

Use Accept or Reject on our banner. You can also clear site data in your browser settings, which will show the banner again. Browser controls differ; look for cookies or site data under privacy settings.

Third-party cookies

Google Fonts may process requests when pages load. We do not embed social pixels. Image hosts such as Unsplash receive a request when a photograph loads; that is a network request, not a Layer Flowcore marketing cookie.

Impact of disabling

Rejecting analytics only means we will not count which public pages you finish. The site, including Path Analysis for App Users materials, remains usable. Blocking all cookies and localStorage may hide the banner repeatedly and forget your choice; it will not lock the syllabus.

Personal data around cookies is described further in privacy.
